Are we safe from Artificial Intelligence?
The Problem – Yes, It is exponential growth that is the problem, you might think for a while AI will solve our problems but did you ever think of AI taking over the world?
As said by articles of ColdFusion and waitbutwhy.com, It is not about how AI grows but the human’s inability to control the exponential change in AI. People for a long time might consider AI as in its growing phase, but all of a sudden the exponential growth might take us into an uncontrollable situation that we never expected to arrive. This outcome is possible with the ability of AI to self-improve and with each exponential factors things might get worse even before we have an eye on it.
The example of this is Google DeepMind, they achieved something developers believed will at least take a decade or so and, all of a sudden the views towards AI changed for many.
Stephan Hawkings and Elon Musk have shown some reservation towards AI, while some like Paul Ellen believe AI to be a useful resource.
